This is a full time, salaried position in our Business Operations Department, reporting to our CEO and based out of our West Chester headquarters location, with required travel throughout the State of Pennsylvania between all physical Levante owned and/or operated locations. This position is required to be performed majorly in-person on site with the occasional opportunity to work remotely. Typical hours are 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday. However, depending on workload, evening and weekend work may be required.
The mission of the Director of Human Resources is to research, plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's human resources strategy, functions, and performance. The Director of HR will collaborate with the Executive Team to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to recruiting, onboarding, staffing, training, and retention of talent. The Director of HR will coordinate with the Executive Team and other
members of the Levante to build a workforce that will focus on the
growth and success of the organization.
Direct the operations and priorities of HR administration, training and development, and culture and engagementfunctions to align with Levante’s vision and strategic goalswhile adapting when necessary to business demands.
Provide overall leadership and guidance by overseeing talent acquisition, employeecareer development, succession planning, retention programs, training and leadershipdevelopment.
Provide direction and assist with executing employee engagement programs to ensureappropriate communications, positive morale, recognition efforts and talent retention.
Function as a strategic, human capital business advisor to the Executive Team.
Develop initiatives, policies and programs to complement and improve existing practicesand create consistency across the organization.
Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs.
Administer and oversee human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Identify staffing and recruiting needs; develop and execute best practices for hiring and talent management.
Assess risks and perform risk management
Ensure compliance in all HR related administrative functions including, but not limitedto, EEO, compensation offerings and benefits, compliance, risk management, insurancepolicies, retirement (pension and 401K) and profit-sharing plans, healthcare plans andrenewals, local/state/federal employment law issues, and employee relations.
Develop strategies and programs to create a robust recruitment process. Identify andsource talent through multiple platforms.
Assess and hire the best talent to showcase Levante and meet the growing needs of theLevante.
Understand, model, and help executives to communicate the value and benefits ofworking at and supporting Levante’s mission and culture.
Communicate professionally, appropriately, and thoughtfully the status of key initiativesand programs related to HR, training and development, and employee engagement andculture to all departments.
Build relationships, act as a role model, and demonstrate leadership across theorganization to mitigate any internal and external disruptions, while mediating whennecessary.
Take the lead on problem-solving organizational conflicts and teams to resolve complexemployee relation issues, while acting as coach or mentor to guide managers who arebalancing organizational and individual needs.
Manage HR record-keeping and ensure HR administration processes are in place company-wide for HR relatedfunctions and compliance.
Provide leadership, input and oversight to the company’s health and safety programs, compliance requirements andinitiatives.
Give direction when necessary while assuring that our HR efforts reinforce the company culture, mission and values.
BA/BS degree in related field or equivalent HR experience; PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification.
5+ years of professional HR management experience, ideally from a food servicesoriented business.
Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize work
Proficiency in the following tech platforms is ideal: Expensify, Slack, Zoom, Google Suite, Asana, Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel), Smartsheets, EKOS, Shopify and Toast.
Understanding of current HR trends in compensation, benefits, recruitment, performanceevaluation, and personnel development with high level of knowledge with primary HRfunctions.
Ability to foster trust, respect, and teamwork among direct reports, peers, executives andthroughout all departments.
Ability to develop and drive strategic initiatives. Must be forward thinking and creative.
Strong people skills with a collaborative, consultative, and team-oriented style.
Mediation skills with conflict resolution experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as written and verbal
Manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities simultaneously and successfully.
