Levante Brewing Company is seeking highly motivated line cooks for its Chester Springs location, the Stables. We are looking for cooks who are passionate about local food, woodfired pizza and craft beer. Unique opportunities for growth and development.
Follow the prep list created by Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine.
Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards and in a timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
Cleans and sanitizes kitchen at the end of the shift.
Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
Comply with institutional and county sanitation guidelines.
Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
Prior experience as prep cook
Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
Excellent time management skills
Manual dexterity able to operate kitchen utensils and equipment
A team player with great communication skills
Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
Very good physical condition and endurance
High school diploma or equivalent is desirable; Training from a culinary school will be an asset
