Levante Brewing Company is seeking highly motivated prep cooks for its Chester Springs location, the Stables. We are looking for cooks who are passionate about local food, woodfired pizza and craft beer. Unique opportunities for growth and development.
Follow the prep list created by Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine.
Producing all dough needed for daily use.
Portioning and shaping dough according to determined size and quantity.
Receive and check in daily deliveries from vendors.
Label and stock all ingredients in an organized and accessible manner
Organize product for daily transportation from commissary to the Stables in a timely manner.
Following all recipes and processes created by Executive Chef/Chef de Cuisine.
Undertake basic cooking duties such as making pizza sauce, shredding cheese, slicing meats, chopping vegetables and parcooking ingredients.
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
Comply with institutional and county sanitation guidelines.
Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
Prior experience as prep cook
Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
Excellent time management skills
Manual dexterity able to operate kitchen utensils and equipment
A team player with great communication skills
Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
Very good physical condition and endurance
High school diploma or equivalent is desirable; Training from a culinary school will be an asset
