5th Anniversary Virtual H.O.P. (Helping Other People) Party: 6/23 - 7/5
This year marks the 5th Anniversary for Levante Brewing Company, and every year we've celebrated our birthday with our annual H.O.P. (Helping Other People) Party. And while this party is always top notch with tap after tap of specialty releases and music in the air, it's important to us that this event also be about giving back and finding a way to Elevate Our Community. So, each year we partner with our local food bank and turn this milestone celebration into a much needed food drive.

This year, hosting an in-person party will have to wait; however, now more than ever, it's imperative to continue our mission of Helping Other People. That's why we're planning an extended 5th Anniversary Virtual H.O.P. Party. Between 6/23 - 7/5, we're celebrating our 5th birthday and America's birthday by Helping Other People. Over the course of 2 weeks, we'll have a conga line of tastey brews (new and returning) releasing for curbside pickup and Mercury Can-Delivery, both in cans and in crowlers, with proceeds of one very special "birthday beer" and H.O.P. Party swag purchased between 6/23 - 7/5 benefiting the West Chester Food Cupboard.

What's brewing for our virtual party, you ask? You can expect some characters to swing through and perhaps we'll resurrect something extraordinary. And of course we'll blow out some candles on our birthday cake. We hear there may even be a new prospect for the Hop Cartel joining the fun. Of course, we couldn't have a party without some glitter so don't forget your shades. Stay tuned as more guests RSVP!

Stop one on our week four journey brings us to Logan, a newly sworn-in police officer in south-eastern PA. Logan was nominated by his brother Zach, who told us he's surviving quarantine one hazy IPA at a time and wanted the same for his brother. As if starting out as a police officer in the beginning of a pandemic wasn't hard enough, the day after being sworn in on March 10th, Logan's wife went into labor seven weeks early! We're pleased to hear baby Gavin is happy, healthy and home, but those first few weeks for Logan and his wife were tough with the strict visitation schedules due to COVID-19 while also juggling a new job. Cheers to you, Logan, on both new roles in your life - officer and dad! Well-deserved "Hoppy Vibes" are heading your way!
Next we're heading down the street to a West Chester neighbor. Nominated by his girlfriend, Mackenzie, Bobby is a Registered Nurse at a nearby hospital who recently completed his nursing degree this passed September. That didn't stop Bobby from diving in head first to be there for patients, especially those with COVID-19. He's even started picking up extra shifts and staying late when his floor needs the help. "At the end of a long shift at the hospital, Bobby always wants to come home and just relax with a nice cold beer! [We] frequented Levante often before the pandemic began. While he enjoys all of your beers, his favorites are Tickle Parts and Cloudy and Cumbersome," Mackenzie told us of Bobby. Bobby, we hope a little Levante "Hoppy Vibes" will help to keep up your positive and caring attitude - thank you!
Our final stop for week 4 of "Sending Hoppy Vibes" goes out to a local Levante-loving Pharmacist, Christine. Christine was nominated not by one person but FOUR. How could we not select her this week? Devon had this to say about her mom, "She is the most selfless person I know, and I couldn’t think of a better person that deserves a gift from her absolute favorite brewery! In these times, pharmacists are going somewhat unrecognized for the their contributions to the current situation, and what better way to show her appreciation than some of her favorite beer!" Devon and Christine have been supporters of Levante since opening in 2015 and are looking forward to enjoying a drink at the Taproom soon (us too!). In the meantime, Christine, we hope a little "Hoppy Vibes" can hold you over. Thank you for all you do!
Our first stop this week is to a local Physician. Ask any of Dr. Monica's patients - she's absolutely beloved, and it's easy to see why from the nomination sent in by her friends, Scott and Deb. Dr. Monica is the kind of physician that will always take the call from any of her patients, no matter what she's doing. Her commitment to her patients hasn't waned despite being drained emotionally and physically during this time. However, through it all, she's remained positive and in good spirits, which is clear from her own social media. Perhaps it's all the love and support she's receiving from her friends and family, including the Tickle Parts beer bomb (we're sensing a theme here). There's more of that heading your way, Dr. Monica, and thank you for all that you're doing!
