It was an honor to brew alongside our buddies from Aslin Beer Company. Andrew and Kai traveled up to our digs for collaborative brew day #1. Since Kai went to West Chester University, we decided to show him a local homecoming. Instead of a "tap takeover" we organized an entire "Town Takeover" throughout West Chester. Bars like Saloon 151, Kildare's, Sidebar, Split Rail, and Square Bar tapped specialty kegs from Aslin, as well as some of our new goodies.

These guys infuse ingenuity and creativity into every batch they brew. Given the season, we naturally decided to brew a liquid treat for Santa: Cookie Clinic, a hoppy liquid snickerdoodle of a Double IPA. Here's a sneak peak from the brewery:

This collaborative effort is a true testament to craft, an industry that teams together to promote local growth and experimentation. Hopefully you snagged a can of this dunkable liquid snickerdoodle of a double IPA. The final result starts with a mouthfeel so thick it'll jam your Cuisinart. Then, a teaspoon of vanilla, crumpled up graham crackers, sweet nilla wafers; these are a few of our favorite things... to add to the mash tun. We then fluffified the batter on lactose milk sugar and a plethora of hops: Mosaic, Summer, El Dorado, Amarillo, and Centennial. The hop profile is everything you ever wanted out of your grandma's holiday fruitcake (which never truly seemed to deliver). Don't worry grandma, we got you on this one

Let's get nostalgic for a second:

We first got to meet Aslin back in April of 2018. Our brew crew had the honor of travelling down to Herndon, Virginia to meet the crew at Aslin. Seeing their brewhouse hustle and inspired creativity represents what craft is all about.

We graciously taste-tested their high-octane IPA's as soon as we got there. So much for coffee in the morning, how about a Triple Orange Starfish?

After checking out their brewery, it was time for a much needed lunch at Crooked Run, neighbors and friends to Aslin. Let's just say that this ain't the last you'll see of us teaming up together.
